Practice Philosophy

Plastic Surgery is a unique subspecialty of medicine that has distinguished itself by developing new and innovative techniques for treating problems from birth defects to normal aging. My office staff and I are committed to providing quality surgical care that upholds the proud tradition of Plastic Surgery. My primary goal is to provide the best possible surgical results for my patients in the most relaxed, comfortable and safe environment that modern medicine allows.

Abdominoplasty  (Tummy Tuck)

Also known as abdominoplasty, a tummy tuck removes excess fat and skin, and in most cases repairs weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer.  Liposuction of the lateral abdomen and legs is included with the abdominoplasty to allow for tapering and contouring of the body to improve the overall result.

Other Procedures

Plastic surgery encompasses an array of procedures meant to improve the appearance and function of the human body. We offer our patients a variety of procedures.  Breast Surgery (lifts, augmentation or reduction), Arm lifts (brachioplasty), thigh lifts and neck contouring are commonly performed in combination.

Common  Concerns

No matter who you choose to perform your procedure, please make sure and ask them these questions, especially for abdominoplasty procedures:

  • How long of a recovery period can I expect, and what kind of help will I need during my recovery?
  • What are the risks and complications associated with my procedure?
  • How can I expect my stomach to look over time? After pregnancy?
  • What are my options if I am dissatisfied with the cosmetic outcome of my tummy tuck?

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Also known as blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, and gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert.

Question to Ask

No matter who you choose to perform your procedure, please make sure and ask them these questions, especially for blepharoplasty procedures:

How long of a recovery period can I expect, and what kind of help will I need during my recovery?

What are the risks and complications associated with my procedure?

How can I expect my eyes to look over time?

What are my options if I am dissatisfied with the cosmetic outcome of my eyelid surgery?

Liposuction  (Suction Lipectomy)

Liposuction, or suction lipectomy, is a surgical procedure that can selectively reduce the fat volume that exists in various areas of the body.  Common areas that are reduced with the surgery include the abdomen, legs, hips, buttocks, arms, lateral chest, back and neck.

Fat removal will change the contour of a body area. Expectations need to be reasonable as all the unwanted fat in an area cannot always be removed.  Once the fat cells are removed, they are gone forever.  However, many thousands of fat cells remain and they will enlarge if calorie intake increases.  A person will still gain weight if that person continues to over-eat.  However, the contour of an area that has been reduced by liposuction should stay the same.  If a person looses weight by calorie reduction or exercise, then the contours of the areas changed by liposuction should also keep their contours.

Liposuction is used in conjunction with other procedures to improve the overall result of the procedure.  Surgical procedures such as Abdominoplasty, Breast Reduction and Breast Lifting, Skin Excess Surgery, Gynecomastia Excision, and other face and body surgeries will have associated liposuction to improve the results of the primary surgery.
