Claude-Jean Langevin, MD, DMD is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Center. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor in plastic surgery at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and an adjunct staff member at the Cleveland Clinic. His primary clinical and research interests include head, neck and breast reconstruction, upper and lower limb reconstruction, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, craniofacial surgery and pediatric plastic surgery. He has expertise in complex tissue reconstruction utilizing advanced microsurgery techniques for free tissue transfers.

Dr. Langevin is a diplomate of both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and American College of Surgeons. Dr. Langevin has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national professional meetings and has co-authored multiple plastic surgery book chapters.  He is on the editorial board of the Annals of Plastic Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal.

He originally earned a doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Montreal and then pursued a hospital dentistry residency at the University of California Los Angeles. He then completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the New York Presbyterian Hospital- Cornell University where he earned his medical degree at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University receiving the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Medical Society award. Dr. Langevin fulfilled his general surgery training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell University followed by a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He then completed a fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Langevin has donated much of his expertise abroad volunteering with non-profit medical organizations and participating in missions in Ecuador, Chile, Haiti, and Belize. He is also fluent in French.
